An energy audit looks to evaluate the entire home to discover the most cost effective and feasible areas to reduce heating/cooling use while making the home more comfortable.
All areas of the home will be inspected/examined, a blower door test will be conducted along with an infrared camera. Measurements will be taken so that a model of the home can be created to calculate savings and rebates.
An energy audit looks at how improvements to your home will save energy. Based on those savings, you’ll see the rebate amount you qualify for.
Most homes take 2-4 hours depending on size and conditions. We’ll confirm the expected duration during scheduling.
Absolutely. You’ll receive clear recommendations with photos where helpful, ranked by impact and feasibility. You’ll also receive a document, called the PLOM, which will detail how much in rebates you’ll receive.
Yes the MHIC # 165469 and a certificate of insurance is available upon request. Leonard Home Performance is Building Performance Institute certified to do energy audits and weatherization work.
Recommendations are based on cost effectiveness, feasibility and BPI standards to address your concerns.
A big fan is setup at one of the exterior doors and sucks the air out of the house to gain a reading of how leaky a home is. It exacerbates existing leaks within the home making them more easily able to be found. The same test is done after air sealing work is complete and compared to the first test to measure air leakage reduction.
Yes, no interest payments for 24 months is available for customers that commit to rebate eligible work.
